หนึ่งในนั้นคือกุ๊กชัย ที่มีบะกุ๊ดแต๋ร้อนๆ มาพร้อมข้าวสวย เราซดน้ำแกงร้อนๆที่ปรุงจากเครื่องเทศเข้มข้น ทั้งหอมทั้งอร่อยรส แค่คำแรกก็กระชุ่มกระชวยขึ้นทันที ตามด้วยติ่มซำหลากชนิดหลายหน้า ทั้ง ปลา กุ้ง ปูอัด หมูสับ ผักต่างๆ ในขนาดคำโต ยกเสิร์ฟจากเตานึ่งควันฉุย เลือกชิมไม่ทันครบ กาแฟ ปาท่องโก๋ ก็ตามมา เอ๊ะๆ เลือกหยิบกินไม่ถูกซะแล้ว เพราะแต่ละเมนูช่างยั่วน้ำลายนัก จึงขอชิมทุกจาน รับประทานทุกกระทง อ้อยอิ่งทีละคำสองคำ อย่างละนิดอย่างละหน่อย ละเลียดความอร่อยนาน ๆ ให้พุงกางกันไปเลย

Cook Chai Shop and Delicious Breakfast in Hat Yai
Hat Yai town in Songkhla is both the destination and transit points for tourists. The town is full with hotels, resorts, restaurants, and shopping spots. When we were tired from touring the town, we stayed overnight to rest and get prepared for travelling on the next day.
We got up in the morning and we decided to refuel ourselves with Hat Yai-style breakfast. The popular dishes for breakfast in Hat Yai are Chinese-style boiled rice, dim sum, Chinese buns, bak-kut-teh Chinese-style soup, coffee, tea, and deep-fried dough sticks.
There are several recommended restaurants here and one of them is the Cook Chai Shop. Cook Chai Shop serves hot bak-kut-teh soup with rice. We sipped the hot soup with strong favors of spices. The soup had good smell and was delicious. I felt refresh with the first spoon of the soup. Then, we tasted several types of dim sum, including those stuffed with fish, shrimp, crab stick, minced pork and vegetables. The dim sums were in big gulp size and streams were still coming out of them when they were served. We could not try all of them yet when coffee and deep-fried dough sticks were served. All looked delicious so we could not be selective and we tasted all the dishes. We enjoyed the breakfast slowly to indulge in the delicious tastes and we became eventually full.
